The Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Law holds its cultural symposium (Women’s rights between the rules of public international law and Islamic law)

  Under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ali Ghafel, and on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Law and under the slogan (Iraqi women are partners in sustainable development ) held its cultural symposium (Women’s rights between the rules of public international law and Islamic law) in which Dr. Zainab Al-Baaj, Lecturer, lectured  In the branch of public law, where the symposium began with an introductory speech in which the lecturer spoke about the importance of the role of women in society and the achievement of sustainable development. What deficiency does it have because it is set by God, the Creator, the Wise, in contrast to man-made legislation, even if it is issued from the highest hierarchy in international organizations emanating from the deficient human mind, as these international legislations, including (the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women) guarantee important rights for women, so I decided for them  Absolute equality with men, in contrast to the tolerant Islamic law, which guarantees them fair equality that is consistent with their own nature.
