Under the auspices of the Dean of the faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ali Ghafil, and on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Law and under the slogan (Iraqi women are partners in sustainable development ) held its cultural symposium (the crime of assaulting the teacher and the school while performing duty) in which Assistant Professor Dr. Dalal Latif lectured Mutashar, a teacher in the Public Law branch, where the symposium began with an introductory speech in which the lecturer spoke about the importance of the role of women in society and achieving sustainable development. By beating, wounding, violence, giving a harmful substance, or committing any act that violates the law, with a penalty of more than fifteen years, since the employee’s capacity is an aggravating circumstance, but when the Teachers and Teachers Protection Law No. ( 1 of 2018 enacted, the punishment according to Article (4 / first) was enacted as no Less than one year and not more than three years and a fine, while the article stipulates in its paragraph (Second) that if the crime is committed by a student, the penalty will be a fine only, which shows that this last law does not provide real protection for this segment.
