Under the auspices of the Dean of the faculty, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ali Ghafel, the Women Empowerment Unit held a workshop entitled (Mechanisms of Sharia to Prevent Violence of Women), in which Dr. Lamia Mahdi Al-Shamrati lectured, where she demonstrated the phenomenon of violence, especially violence against women, that is not linked to an era of ages but has emerged since the emergence of humanity, which witnessed behaviors Aggressiveness against women varied from physical and moral harm to hurting women’s feelings and feelings, as well as infringing on their social value, until Islam emerged with its tolerant law and recognized some rights for them in the context of confronting this phenomenon, such as identifying their legal personality and respecting their will and economic independence.
