In the presence of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ali Ghafel, the Public Law Branch held a workshop entitled (Tobacco Control in Educational Institutions) presented by the lecturer Zaman Sahib Majdi, in which he dealt with five axes. (public role and private role) and the fourth was devoted to how to stop smoking (sudden and gradual cessation), and the fifth axis was about the Anti-Smoking Law No. (19 of 2012), and we concluded the workshop with a set of recommendations related to the topic of Smoking in line with the ideas presented in the workshop, including focusing on health counseling through holding seminars and educational courses and publishing publications (books, magazines, reports) related to the effects and harms Smoking with the necessity of activating the health media in all its visual, print and audio media in a big way, supporting the implementation of the legislation and legal instructions in force, the first of which is the Anti-Smoking Law No. (19 of 2012), and increasing the prices of taxes and fees imposed on tobacco products to reduce demand and deal with them.
